POSITION: Processing Crew Member

JOB SUMMARY
Processing Crew Members is involved with the daily operation at the processing plant. This involves drying, screening, packaging and loading of leonardite.   As a member of the processing crew all employees are cross trained and will perform duties as required.   Directions for daily activities are assigned by the Plant Manager or Foreman. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Operate forklifts to move Leonardite around facility, on to trucks, shipping containers and railcars.
• Drive front end loader from stockpile to hoppers.
• Package finished Leonardite and prepare for shipping.
• Repair equipment as necessary using special skills, if available.
• Clean equipment, grounds and warehouses as requested.
• Operate processing equipment:  drum dryer/ screener, Plant.
• Work with Plant Manager and Safety Director to maintain a safe working environment following the guidelines of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Experience, Competencies and Education:

• Action Oriented
• Approachability
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Skills such as welding, mechanics or carpentry are valued

Physical Demands:

• Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required.
• Lifting of objects up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to stand/walk during shift

Training Provided for:

• New Miner MSHA Training
• MSHA Refresher coarse
• Lock-out Tag-out.
• Forklift Safety.
• Quality System Awareness
• First Aid

Personal Protective Equipment required:

• Safety Glasses - furnished
• Hard Hat - furnished
• Dust Mask - furnished
• Steel Toed Boots
• FR's NOT required

Work Environment:

• Year-round outdoors, Regularly exposed to dust and noise.
• Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments
• Hours of operation are 6AM-10PM Mon. – Sunday
• Weekend, Overtime and On-Call hours are possible, and are generally predictable
